Indeed it was seven games since the Hammers last tasted victory until they beat Swansea City 1-0 on Saturday.
The East Londoners still have some work to do to secure safety in what has been a hugely disappointing season compared to the record-breaking campaign the club enjoyed last term.
As a result of West Ham’s poor form of late Bilic’s future was the subject of intense media speculation with the likes of Jaap Stam, Roberto Manzini and Rafa Benitez tipped to replace him in various reports.
The Croatian has retained the support of the majority of West Ham’s fans, though, which has been reinforced by the important victory over the Swans.
And now his trusted coach Edin Terzic, not a man who speaks regularly, has spoken out about the importance of togetherness in a post on Twitter.

“Many tweets, discussions, rumours… but match days are UNITED days!” Terzic posted on Twitter.
“Togetherness is the key! Thanks for the patience and support! #COYI.”
The message will go down well with the Hammers faithful who have had their faith in Bilic and his staff tested to the limit this season.

West Ham were embarrassingly dumped out of the Europa League by Romanian minnows Astra Giurgiu and thumped in both the FA Cup and EDL Cup by Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.
The Hammers can all but secure their Premier League status with a victory at basement side Sunderland on Saturday.
