Vashon Neufville featured as West Ham’s under-23 side won again.
West Ham’s under-23 side rallied to beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur yesterday, overturning a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2.
Hammers coach Terry Westley spoke with relief and delight at the final whistle, admitting he ripped into the young team at half-time in order to elicit a reaction.

Westley picked out three players for praise, in particular young left-back Vashon Neufville.
He told the club website: “Vashon Neufville was terrific – probably the pick – and then the whole team were all up to an eight out of ten from a three first period. It was that big a change.”

Westley also hailed goalscorers Josh Pask and Nathan Holland, describing the latter’s strike as ‘outstanding’.
Neufville, 18, has been with West Ham for five years and is hoping to go on to represent the Hammers and England.
He has already played for the Three Lions at under-16 level and this is his second season in West Ham’s under-23 side.
Praise like this from Westley will do his chances of catching Slaven Bilic’s eye no harm, although Aaron Cresswell remains the clear first choice at the position.
