Celtic allowed Armstrong Oko-Flex to leave the club this summer, and West Ham United are already feeling the benefits from signing him.
Oko-Flex was a promising young forward at Arsenal before Celtic signed him in 2018 under Brendan Rodgers.
The winger struggled to break into first-team action at Parkhead though, managing just two league appearances in the famous green and white hoops.
This summer, Celtic allowed Oko-Flex to leave at the end of his contract, and he decided to head back to London.
West Ham won the race for his signature, beating Newcastle United to the deal – and the early signs have been great.
Oko-Flex scored against Celtic in a pre-season friendly, and has hit the headlines this week with a hat-trick for West Ham’s Under-23’s against Arsenal.
Oko-Flex may still be some way off first-team action at West Ham, but excitement is building – and he has received praise from coach Dmitri Halajko.

Speaking to West Ham’s official website, Halajko has branded Oka-Flex ‘very dangerous’ in the final third, believing there is more to come from him as he looks to prove Celtic wrong for not giving him first-team chances.
“Armstrong’s finishing is a real strong point of his,” said Halajko. “When he gets into the final third, he’s a very dangerous player. We wanted to do that tonight and he managed to take his chances.”
“We’ve got confidence in him scoring goals and taking chances, without a shadow of a doubt – that’s what we brought him here to do. He’s got off the mark and deserved his hat-trick, and hopefully there’s more to come,” he added.
