West Ham United co-owner was spotted at Upton Park this week by some eagle-eyed Hammers fans.

West Ham secured Premier League safety with two games to spare this season.
But survival does not mask what has been another torrid season for West Ham on and off the pitch and supporters want big changes from unpopular co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold if not a change of ownership altogether.
The Hammers have been in disarray this season and supporters are furious over what they feel are a string of broken promises regarding ambition, transfer spending and the much-heralded move to the London Stadium.
Their anger was highlighted by the protests which spilled onto the pitch during the 3-0 home defeat to Burnley in March.

More than 52,000 fans shelled out for season tickets in the first two seasons at the London Stadium – second only to Manchester United.
Fans were devastated to see Upton Park erased from the east London skyline and a large section of Hammers insist they would return to their old ground in a heartbeat if they could.
So when Gold was spotted at the site of the old ground this week it set imagnations racing among the more romantic of fans who were hoping by some miracle the club might return there.
But well-placed West Ham Twitter insider ExWHUemployee clarified the situation on social media with a perfectly reasonable explanation.

“David Gold and others were spotted at Upton Park in the day today,” ExWHUemployee posted on Twitter.
“The reason for this was because the Bobby Moore time capsule was reburied I believe.”
So there you have it West Ham fans and proof that Gold is very much a fan at heart no matter how unpopular he and Sullivan may be at the moment.
