West Ham have completed the signing of Yarmolenko

West Ham United co-owner David Gold has announced the signing of winger Andriy Yarmolenko on Twitter, confirming the move before the Hammers’ official Twitter account.
The 28-year-old joins the Hammers from German giants Borussia Dortmund, signing a four-year contract with the east Londoners and becomes Manuel Pellegrini’s fifth signing at the club.
The Argentine manager has already brought in Lukasz Fabianski, Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop and Jack Wilshere, the latter being confirmed earlier this week.
Gold said he was “delighted” to confirm the signing of the 77-time Ukraine international on Twitter, who joins the club after falling down the pecking order at Dortmund.
The 28-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Hammers after managing just 26 appearances for Dortmund, with the likes of Marco Reus, Christian Pulisic, Jadon Sancho and Mario Gotze.
It is unclear how much the winger has cost the Hammers, but it is certainly a huge coup for Gold as they begin to listen to fans and put their money where their mouth is.
Some West Ham fans reacted to Gold’s Tweet, after he surprisingly announced the move before the club’s official Twitter account had time to do so. One fan Tweeted: “Another top signing by the board. Great work”.
