West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan has written on the club’s official website that he is thankful to the fans.

Sullivan has praised the West Ham fans for their support to the team during last weekend’s game against Leicester City at home.

The Hammers went down 3-2 to Leicester at the London Stadium in the Premier League last Saturday afternoon.

The West Ham co-chairman has criticised Slaven Bilic’s defence for yet again conceding two goals in a match.

“We have to find out why we are conceding so many goals and fix it because it is obviously harder to win games when you concede two or three goals in a game than if you keep a clean sheet,” Sullivan wrote on West Ham’s official website.

“Once again thank you to the fans for your wonderful support,” added Sullivan. “The noise in the second half, in particular, was superb and clearly inspired the team to keep pushing for the equaliser. It was just a shame for all of us that it did not arrive.”

West Ham are struggling defensively at the moment, and that has been a main reason behind their disappointing form of late.

The London outfit have conceded as many as 52 goals in 29 Premier League matches so far this season.

The fact that Bilic’s side have conceded more goals than relegation-threatened Sunderland and Crystal Palace in the league should be concerning for the fans.

West Ham will take on Hull City away from home at the KCOM Stadium in the Premier League after the international break.
