West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Chelsea’s defeat to West Bromwich Albion.
Chelsea suffered a shock 5-2 defeat to West Brom at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League earlier today.
The Blues played most of the game with 10 men due to the dismissal of Thiago Silva in the 29th minute.
The result means that Chelsea remain fourth in the Premier League table with 51 points from 30 matches.
West Ham are currently fifth in the standings with 49 points from 29 games, and co-chairman Gold believes that the Hammers can finish in the Premier League top four.
West Ham are in action on Monday evening when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home in the Premier League.
Wolves have virtually nothing to play for this season, and the Hammers will fancy their chances of picking up all three points from the encounter.
West Ham fans should stay optimistic that under manager David Moyes this season, the team will end up in the top four and play in the Champions League in 2021-22.
