West Ham United have been extremely busy in the transfer window this month.

During an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, Hammers co-chairman David Gold shared his gratitude for fellow co-chairman David Sullivan and first-team manager Slaven Bilic for the work they put in to get the deal for Robert Snodgrass over the line.

West Ham had already completed the signing of Jose Fonte from Southampton, before they brought the 29-year-old Scotland international to the club, and things are now really starting to look up for the East London outfit.

And Gold explained how difficult it is to sign players during the January window, when speaking to WHUFC.com, paying tribute to the work put in by his co-chairman and manager:

“The current transfer window is always a tough one to get good players and I have to pay tribute once again to David Sullivan and Slaven Bilic for helping get another seasoned professional into the squad. We signed a European Championship winner last week and have now signed one of the best wingers in the Premier League.”

The Hammers have won back-to-back games in the Premier League, and currently sit in 10th position in the table, just eight points adrift of seventh paced Everton.

And with Manuel Lanzini and Andy Carroll firing on all cylinders, combined with the impressive acquisitions of Fonte and Snodgrass, Slaven Bilic’s men must believe that they have every chance of forcing their way inside the Europa League spots this season.
