Meetings are being held at Chelsea to try and thrash out the future of striker Armando Broja amid links to West Ham United.
That’s according to transfer insider Dean Jones, who spoke about Broja’s future with Give Me Sport.
Jones noted that talks are ongoing over Broja’s future, with Chelsea seemingly reluctant to sell the young striker.
Tammy Abraham’s success with Roma may just see Chelsea stick with Broja in the hope that he becomes a first-team player – rather than see him thrive elsewhere like Abraham.
“I think meetings are still going on over Broja and how to deal with him. Chelsea have been burned a few times recently by letting players go out and then they succeed somewhere else,” said Jones.
“There are loads of players that they’ve got to think carefully about now, and I’m not convinced they want to sell him,” he added.
Broja, 20, is currently impressing on loan at Southampton. In 22 games for the Saints, Broja has bagged seven goals.
The Albanian international showed real promise on loan at Vitesse Arnhem last season, but is now showing he can do it in the Premier League.
Southampton love Broja so much that they opened talks with Chelsea in January in an attempt to secure a permanent deal for the boyhood Blues fan.

The problem for Southampton now is that other clubs are now joining the race to sign Broja.
West Ham United want to sign Broja according to the Daily Mail, and they offer a very real threat to Southampton’s hopes.
West Ham can offer a stay in London, European football and an important role interchanging with Michail Antonio up front.
Come the end of the season, there are bound to be even more clubs hoping to convince Chelsea to sell Broja.
As it stands though, it sounds like Chelsea aren’t minded to sell their talented young centre forward, with these talks hopefully coming to an early resolution well in time for the summer window.
