The lifelong West Ham United fan said he was buzzing to see Manchester United progress in the Champions League.

The West Ham United captain, Mark Noble, has admitted an admiration for Manchester United.
Noble is a lifelong West Ham supporter, following the lead of his father, who is also named Mark.
But discussing Manchester United’s dramatic 3-1 win against Paris Saint-Germain on Talksport earlier, the 31-year-old suggested he would be cheering on the Red Devils if it was not for his beloved Hammers.
“It was such an amazing game to watch,” Noble told the Hawksbee & Jacobs show. “I love Manchester United. I think they’re a fantastic club. I grew up watching Man U. Apart from obviously West Ham, they probably would have been my team. They were so well run. They had a fantastic manager. I was buzzing that they went through.”
Trailing 2-0 ahead of their Champions League last-16 tie at the Parc des Princes, Manchester United required a 3-1 win or better to send them through on away goals.
Romelu Lukaku gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side an early lead before the Parisians hit back through Juan Bernat.
But Lukaku’s second midway through the second half ensured a nervy final hour-or-so for the hosts.

And after Diogo Dalot’s strike was judged to have struck the arm of Presnel Kimpembe right at the death, Marcus Rashford was presented with an opportunity to win the tie with a penalty kick, which he duly did.
Noble’s West Ham travel to Old Trafford in little over a month’s time.
