According to Goal Spain, Cádiz CF striker and West Ham target Anthony ‘Choco’ Lozano is available for a bargain fee.
Goal Spain state that, if an offer of €10 million (£8.8 million) arrived for the 27-year-old, the Spanish outfit would have no choice but to accept it.
This should come as welcome news for the Hammers, as a sum of £8.8 million is surely affordable for them despite the financial implications of the pandemic.
Significantly, The Athletic revealed that West Ham bid £22.5 million for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
In that respect, the Irons obviously have £8.8 million lying around for a new frontman.
With just a few days until the transfer deadline, David Moyes still hasn’t found a replacement for Sebastien Haller, but not for the want of trying.
As aforesaid, West Ham have tried to sign En-Nesyri.
Montpellier striker Gaetan Laborde and Bournemouth’s Josh King have also been mentioned.
In our view, Lozano is arguably the worst option of the lot, as he’s only scored three goals in La Liga this season.
Having said that, if it gets to deadline day and Moyes becomes desperate, signing the 33-cap Honduras international for just £8.8 million would be relatively risk free.
Lozano is a very cheap option, and at least he wouldn’t be expected to hit the ground running with Michail Antonio leading the line admirably right now.
