West Ham United’s defensive woes continue, with Kevin Constant now linked with a move to the club.

According to The Mirror, West Ham United have been offered the chance to sign free agent defender Kevin Constant to ease their woes.
The Hammers have conceded 11 goals in their last three Premier League games, with Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to Southampton following on from 4-2 defeats to both Watford and West Bromwich Albion.
Manager Slaven Bilic is a man under pressure, and he’s been unable to find the right formula in defence as West Ham continue to leak goals on a regular basis.

Aaron Cresswell’s long-term injury means that he has been missing so far, whilst replacement left back Arthur Masuaku is also injured now, meaning right back Alvaro Arbeloa had to fill in there against Southampton; it didn’t work.
With the transfer deadline long gone, West Ham are limited with what they can do in the transfer market to solve their problem, as only free agents are available to sign right now.
The Mirror report that West Ham have in fact been offered the chance to snap up free agent left back Kevin Constant to solve their defensive woes, with Bilic now presented with a decision to make.
Constant may not be a familiar name for many West Ham fans, so here are five facts on the player as he could be London Stadium-bound…
Kevin Constant
1. Constant, 29, came up through the ranks with Toulouse, but made just four appearances before moving on to Chateauroux to play first-team football in 2008.
2. His record of 15 goals in just 79 games for Chateauroux led to major interest in his signature, and his subsequent move to Chievo sparked a lengthy run in Italian football.
3. Constant has turned out for Chievo, Genoa, AC Milan and more recently Bologna, but it wasn’t always been a happy time for him in Italy. In 2013, Constant left the pitch during a pre-season friendly against Sassuolo having allegedly received racist abuse from supporters – and just a year later he headed to Turkey with Trabzonspor.

4. Whilst born in France, Constant plays his international football with Guinea, and has hit four goals in 24 caps for his country having switched allegiance in 2007 through his mother.
5. Primarily a left back, Constant can also play in central midfield and as a winger, and possesses a powerful shot as well as impressive pace, but his defensive deficiencies have seen him caught out before – and that may make Slaven Bilic think twice about a move.
