The West Ham United youngster is a reported transfer target for Manchester United.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference today, and gave a short response when asked to elaborate on rumours linking Declan Rice with a switch to Manchester United, as quoted by Football.London.
The 20-year-old has been quite simply sensational for the Hammers this season, making 34 appearances in all competitions, and earning a call-up to the England national team in the process.
Rice is now widely considered to be one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League, and the Irish Independent claims that Manchester United are prepared to pay £50 million in order to bring the West Ham man to Old Trafford.
Pellegrini delivered a curt response, however, when asked by reporters about about Hammers star Rice’s future today, as quoted by Football.London:

“I don’t talk about that.”
Rice has already developed into a top class player, and he is still under contract with West Ham until the summer of 2024, so the east London outfit hold all of the cards.
Whether the Hammers will be able to resist United’s overtures, however, remains to be seen.
