West Ham United have really missed Manuel Lanzini this season.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Fulham on Friday night, and shared just how happy he is to have Manuel Lanzini back fit and available for selection, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The 26-year-old Argentine has been out all season, after suffering a serious ACL injury during the Hammers’ pre-season campaign in the summer, and he has been a huge miss for Pellegrini’s side.
West Ham have desperately lacked Lanzini’s guile and nouse in the final third this season, and having him back will be a huge boost for the football club.
The attacking midfielder played a key role in creating chances for the club’s strikers – a point that Pellegrini highlighted today during his pre-match press conference.
The Chilean spoke to reporters, and highlighted how Lanzini played a key role in Marko Arnautovic’s fine campaign last term, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“He is coming back from a long injury so we will decide the best way for him to return to the team. He is a player who gives you different things, he is very fast and a very technical player. Last season Marko Arnautovic had a good season and a lot of that was down to Manuel providing him with good passes and good assists.”
Lanzini chalked up nine assists and five goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for West Ham last season, and if he can return to action somewhere near his best form, he will surely be able to help once again get the best out the misfiring Arnautovic.
