West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini suggests Felipe Anderson needs to improve

Felipe Anderson is not in great form for West Ham United at the moment.

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has suggested to The London Evening Standard that Felipe Anderson needs to do more.

Pellegrini made the comments ahead of West Ham’s Premier League match against Burnley at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Anderson is not in great form at the moment and did not have a good game on a personal level against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

West Ham manager Pellegrini has suggested that the 25-year-old Brazil international attacking midfielder needs to do more.

Pellegrini told The London Evening Standard about Anderson: “In a way, I am not happy. I think Felipe is not happy, I think everyone is not happy. He has demonstrated he can do more.”

Improvement needed

Anderson joined West Ham from Lazio in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The London Evening Standard to be worth £42 million.

The Brazil has played well on some occasions, but the attacking midfielder has struggled with consistency.

The 25-year-old – who can scored one goal and provided one assist in 10 Premier League appearances for the Hammers so far this season, according to WhoScored.com – does need to step up and create more chances for his teammates.
