West Ham United are expected to be active during the January transfer window.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media today ahead of his side’s clash with Watford tomorrow, and hinted that he is looking to strengthen in at least three positions in January, as quoted by Football.London.
The Hammers have recovered brilliantly from their poor start to the season, and they now sit in seventh position in the Premier League table, having won four league games on the bounce.
Pellegrini has had to cope with a whole host of injuries to his first-team squad, but the Irons have somehow managed to keep it together as they head into the Christmas period.
The Chilean admitted that he will be looking to strengthen in certain areas in January, however, when speaking to reporters, as quoted by Football.London:

“I know that we need to replace players that probably will not play much more this season like Yarmolenko, Sanchez, Lanzini so we are calm, we will decide not now what we are going to do but we will decide.”
Quite how much money Pellegrini has to spend remains to be seen, but if the Hammers boss does manage to bring in some genuine quality next month, there is no reason why West Ham cannot finish inside the top seven.
