The 26-year-old attacking midfielder did not start the match, but the Argentina international came on as a substitute in the 76th minute.
Lanzini was making his return for the Hammers from a long-term knee injury, and West Ham manager Pellegrini was pleased with the display produced by the 26-year-old.
Pellegrini told Football.London about Lanzini: “Manuel has worked very hard during the last weeks, but these two last ones with us he demonstrated to me that he was not afraid of playing again and he did it very well.”
