West Ham United youngster Reece Oxford is on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach at the moment.
According to The Daily Mail, Oxford hopes to remain at German club Borussia Monchengladbach for the 2018-19 campaign and does not want to return to West Ham.
The 19-year-old, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, joined Bundesliga outfit Monchengladbach on loan from the Hammers in the January transfer window, having spent the first half of the season on loan there as well.
West Ham manager Moyes, though, is not aware of speculation claiming that the England Under-20 international wants to remain in Germany.
Moyes told Football.London when asked about Oxford’s reportedly wanting to stay in Germany: “I don’t know anything on that, no and anything you say is news to me. I’ve not heard that.
“He’s a talented young player. He’s been injured for a little while over in Germany so obviously he went there to try to get games to help him.
“Hopefully he will have learned from the experience. The Germans are very professional, they do things right, they train hard so hopefully he can come back with good experience.”
Future at West Ham United?
Moyes seems to be unaware of the latest speculation regarding Oxford, and it appears that the West Ham manager expects the youngster to return to the London Stadium in the summer.
The England Under-20 international is a very good and versatile young player who has a bright future ahead of him.
It would make sense for the Hammers to make the teenager a key figure of the first team next season.
