West Ham United travel to White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham after the international break.
West Ham United forward Ashley Fletcher has told the club’s official website that the importance of the upcoming clash with Tottenham Hotspur was made aware to him as soon as he joined the club.
The Hammers travel to White Hart Lane to take on Spurs following the international break.
Both sides have had vastly different starts to the season, with Slaven Bilic’s side currently 17th in the table and Mauricio Pochettino’s team 12 places higher in fifth.
A win in the derby could be the catalyst that West Ham need to kick-start their season, with them currently just a point outside the relegation zone.

It is a big game regardless of that and Fletcher says that fact is something he was quickly made aware of when he joined in the summer.
“This is a game where we want to come away with the three points, he told the club’s official website.
“As soon as I joined West Ham I was made aware that Tottenham is one game that the fans look forward to. We will be doing everything we can to win and hopefully, it will propel us up the league.”

Unfortunately for West Ham, they will be coming up against a team who are equally desperate to secure all three points.
Spurs are without a win in their last seven games in all competitions, ever since their impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester City.
That has seen fans and pundits alike questioning them and they will be keen to beat their rivals to put those doubts to bed.
