West Ham United want Armando Broja – and he has been the source of six meetings involving new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.
The Hammers are desperate to add another striker this summer and who can blame them?
Michail Antonio has been taking West Ham’s attack on his shoulders since Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax in January 2021.
West Ham still haven’t replaced Haller, and the Ivorian has even made another move of his own by joining Borussia Dortmund.
If that doesn’t show that West Ham need a striker when we don’t know what does – aind two names appear to be in the mix.
West Ham United want Armando Broja
Sassuolo hitman Gianluca Scamacca is being heavily linked with West Ham, but that would mean the Hammers hijacking Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s a difficult task, so West Ham need to have other targets in mind and the other main name is that of Armando Broja.
The Albania international is back at Chelsea after showing huge potential on loan at Southampton last season.
That doesn’t always lead to first-team action at Chelsea though; even Tammy Abraham had to leave the Blues in search of first-team action.
Broja may be in a similar boat and West Ham are hoping that Chelsea will agree to let Broja join them this summer.

The London Evening Standard now claim that Broja has finally flown out to join the Chelsea squad for their pre-season tour in Los Angeles.
It’s also added that Broja has remarkably been the subject of six meetings involving new Blues owner Boehly.
Broja’s future has been the major conversation at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea consider whether to keep him or let him go.
Given that Broja has now flown out to the United States, it seems that any deal for him to leave Chelsea is far from imminent.
West Ham may subsequently need to be patient, especially as it sounds like Chelsea haven’t quite made up their mind yet.
