It looks as if West Ham United are now the favourites to sign Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.

Brighton and Hove Albion were the other likely suitors, but don’t have the same financial clout as the Hammers and are likely to turn their attention back to Toffees forward Oumar Niasse – who manager Sam Allardyce is willing to sell.
Therefore West Ham could win the race to land Dembele for a fee of around £25m, which could turn out to be an impressive coup for the club.

The 21-year-old has been in fine form for the Bhoys following a 2016 switch from Fulham, scoring 40 goals in 69 games since to help the Glasgow outfit to a domestic treble in 2016/17.
Dembele has been courted by some of Europe’s biggest names as a result, so if the East Londoners could get the Frenchman – whom boss David Moyes is a keen admirer of – onto their books they could have both a talented attacker and someone who could potentially make them a huge profit in the future.
