Juventus have offered West Ham United and Newcastle United summer transfer target Arthur Melo to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to CMW.

West Ham and Newcastle target Arthur Melo offered to Arsenal

CMW have reported that David Moyes’s West Ham and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are interested in signing Arthur from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

Italian giants Juventus are willing to let go of the Brazil international midfielder who is not part of head coach Massimiliano Allegri’s plan this season.

The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Juventus have offered Arthur to Arsenal.

The Bianconeri are willing to send the 26-year-old on loan to Arsenal, but they want the Gunners to pay all of his wages.

Arsenal would also have the option to make the deal permanent for €35-38 million (£29.51-£32.14 million), according to the report.

Could a Gunners transfer happen?

In our view, Arsenal are unlikely to take up the option to sign Arthur Melo even on loan from Juventus.

The Gunners are doing well at the moment and are well stocked in midfield.

Granit Xhaka has started the season strongly, and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta now has the option to play Oleksandr Zinchenko in midfield.

Now, of course, Arthur is a good player who is a Brazil international and has played for Barcelona in the past, but Arsenal need to think carefully about this particular transfer.

With West Ham and Newcastle interested in the Brazilian, Juventus could potentially offload Arthur to either of those clubs.
