West Ham United and Leicester City could benefit from swapping the two payers.
Both the Hammers and the Foxes are looking to reinvigorate their forward lines before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.
Two strikers in particular whose futures at their respective clubs are far from certain are Diafra Sakho and Ahmed Musa, and West Ham and Leicester should consider the possibility of swapping the two forwards.
Musa, 24, joined Leicester in the summer of 2016 from CSKA Moscow, for a fee believed to be in the region of £16.6 million, but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular at the King Power Stadium, despite showing flashes of his true potential.
He still has plenty to offer at the very highest level, however, and his raw pace would surely bring so much to Slaven Bilic’s forward line.
The Nigerian can play in a variety of positions up front, and that type of versatility could prove to be vital to West Ham, during what is such a long and physically punishing campaign.
Sakho, meanwhile, has the ability to make just as much of a difference at Leicester, and a change of scenery, playing under new philosophies and ideas could be just what he needs to help reinvigorate his flagging career.
The Senegal international is renowned for making tireless runs into the channels, and is no slouch in front of goal either. He would provide fantastic direct competition for Jamie Vardy, and would help to ease the burden on the 30-year-old’s shoulders.
And with both players’ futures hanging by a thread at their respective clubs, a swap deal involving the pair would surely be the ideal outcome for all parties concerned.
