West Ham United and Everton are among the favourites to land the Watford striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion.

West Ham United and Everton could be back in for reported 2016 target Troy Deeney, according to Bet Victor‘s latest odds.

The pair were both linked with January moves for the Watford captain, who the Sun reports could be the subject of a £20 million summer approach from West Bromwich Albion.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Bet Victor have the Baggies as favourites to land Deeney at 2/1, with West Ham (3/1) and Everton in second and third respectively.

Here were assess their chances:

West Ham United

Given their 2016 failures, the Hammers will almost certainly enter the market for a new striker this summer, and Deeney’s name is likely to feature on their shortlist, with the 28-year-old having impressed in both games against Slaven Bilic’s side this season – scoring twice. Whether he could play with Andy Carroll, however, remains to be seen. It might be a case of one or the other.

Everton

One suspects Everton would only move for Deeney if they cannot hold on to Romelu Lukaku, with the former likely to spend most of his time on the bench otherwise. Were the Belgian to leave then the Watford man could be a good option to replace him. However, with Deeney not a frequent scorer of goals – at least not at Premier League level – the Toffees would perhaps require additional recruits to play alongside him.

Would West Ham or Everton be the best move for Deeney this summer?
