West Ham United and Everton have both been heavily linked with a move for Burnley forward Andre Gray.
A report in the Daily Mirror has suggested that West Ham and Everton could be about to receive a significant transfer boost by the deal involving Stoke striker Jon Walters and Burnley.
The Mirror reports that Walters is close to completing a move to Turf Moor with the Clarets’ latest bid for the 33-year-old – which involves a £2 million up-front fee plus add-ons – meeting Stoke’s asking price.

And the Mirror is now suggesting that Walters heading to Burnley would leave the path slightly clearer for Andre Gray to leave the club – with both the Hammers and the Toffees keen on the 26-year-old.
According to the Mirror, Burnley are already willing to listen to offers for their star striker with Gray now entering the final year of his contract and currently unwilling to sign a new deal, and Walters’ arrival may boost West Ham’s and Everton’s chances of completing a quicker deal.
Gray enjoyed a promising first season in the Premier League, scoring nine times in 32 games for the Clarets as they comfortably stayed up in the top flight.
And Slaven Bilic and Ronald Koeman will perhaps be hoping that joining their respective sides will see Gray work off an even greater number of chances – thus, helping him boost an even more impressive tally.
