West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion are battling it out for highly-rated teenager Bilal Mohammed, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Mohammed has been earning rave reviews for Hammarby’s youth sides and he is regarded as one of the best young prospects to emerge from Scandinavia in recent years.
The 15-year-old enjoyed a trial spell at West Ham last month after being invited over to train with the Premier League club and Mohammed is understood to have impressed during his stint in East London.
West Ham have expressed an interest in signing the attacking midfielder, but they now face competition for the teenager from clubs across Europe.

Championship hopefuls Brighton have been alerted to Mohammed’s talents and they have not made an enquiry to Hammarby to allow them to have the youngster on trial on the South Coast so they cast a closer eye over him.
Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven and Italian side Sassuolo have also expressed interest in having Mohammed on trial as they weigh up moves for the winger with Hammarby bracing themselves for offers for their prize asset.
