West Ham United and Arsenal are reportedly after Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery.
West Ham United are interested in appointing Unai Emery as their new manager, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that West Ham have the Paris Saint-Germain manager on their shortlist.
David Moyes is in charge of West Ham at the moment, but the former Everton and Manchester United manager’s current contract with the Hammers runs out at the end of the season.
Interestingly, Arsenal are also reported to be interested in securing the services of Emery this summer.
According to The Express, the former Sevilla manager is the favourite for the Gunners’ managerial role.
Arsene Wenger will leave the North London outfit in the summer, and The Express has claimed that Arsenal will make a move for the Spaniard.
Blockbuster appointment
Emery is one of the best managers in Europe and has done relatively well at PSG since his appointment in the summer of 2016, leading the Parisian club to the Ligue 1 club this season.
The former Valencia head coach, who earns €450,000 (£39,7421.18m) per month as salary at PSG according to The Chicago Tribune, led Sevilla to three successive Europa League titles from 2014 to 2016, and he would be a superb managerial appointment for West Ham.
However, having been used to managing clubs who are challenging for titles and playing in Europe, Emery may not find West Ham too attractive.
Arsenal will not be in the Champions League next season, but the North London club will surely be more attractive to Emery given the players already at the Emirates Stadium and their recent history.
