There are a number of high profile Manchester City players out of contract this summer and it seems West Ham are among their potential destinations.

There could be a major shake-up in the Manchester City squad this summer, with expectations not met during Pep Guardiola’s first season as manager in 2016/17.

Seven of City’s first team squad are out of contract at the end of this season and while some, such as Jesus Navas and academy graduate Tosin Adarabioyo, are expected to get new deals others will be exiting the club.

Here are some potential high profile departures and where they could be going next.

Bacary Sagna

Full-back has been a problem area for Guardiola and once considered one of the leading talents of the division, Sagna no longer seems to have the attributes required for the Spaniard’s pressing style.

Not to say that at 34 the Frenchman still doesn’t have much to offer and with bags of experience, the Mirror report that West Ham United are looking at the right-back.

In November last year there would have been no doubts about Toure’s exit, with the midfielder cast adrift after a supposed falling out with Guardiola.

Since then, however, the 34-year-old has increasingly become part of the first team plans, but with newly promoted Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United interested, according to the Sun, the Ivorian could well be in different colours next term.

Like Sagna, the Argentine does not quite seem to be what Guardiola is looking for at full-back and after nine years and two title wins, the club have confirmed he will leave this summer.

Aged 32, Zabaleta is looking for a two-year deal to conclude his career and Sky Sports reports that the Hammers are also interested in signing the South American.
