West Ham United currently find themselves in all sorts of trouble, and need their fans to get right behind them against Chelsea tomorrow.
Hammers ace Angelo Ogbonna spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and delivered a plea to Hammers fans, asking them to make as much noise as possible at every home game, highlighting the match against Leicester City as one they should be looking to emulate, week-in, week-out.
West Ham currently find themselves deeply embroiled in a relegation battle, having taken just 10 points from their opening 15 Premier League outings – a tally that leaves them sitting precariously in 19th position in the league table.
David Moyes certainly has his work cut-out in east London, if he is to guide his side away from trouble, with Chelsea and Arsenal both visiting the London Stadium during the course of the next five days.
And Ogbonna, 29, urged the Hammers faithful to get behind the team when Antonio Conte’s men visit the East End of London tomorrow, when speaking exclusively to WHUFC.com:
“The fans know that the way they can help us change things is with the atmosphere they create. Against Leicester, it was the best atmosphere I have heard in London Stadium and it has to be like this every time.”
A win against the Blues tomorrow could theoretically lift West Ham out of the drop zone, but merely avoiding defeat will be seen as an achievement for David Moyes’ side.
