West Ham United travel to north London to take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

West Ham ace Robert Snodgrass spoke exclusively to the club’s official website ahead of his side’s clash with Tottenham on Saturday, and suggested that if he and his teammates are not motivated for the game, they might as well not turn up.

The Hammers are in the midst of a really poor run of form, having taken just one point from their last four games, and they are currently sitting in 11th spot in the Premier League table.

Saturday will be a real test for West Ham, with Tottenham looking to cement their place inside the top four, and Manuel Pellegrini’s men will have to be on their very best form, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of taking a positive result away from the contest.

And Snodgrass old the club’s official website how the importance of Saturday’s game against Tottenham goes without saying:

“If we show the levels of performance we have in the last few weeks, we’ll be right in the mix to get three points. It’s doesn’t motivate me any differently. It’s Spurs and if you’re not motivated for that, there’s no point in turning up. There is so much at stake, with the rivalry between the two clubs, so I think that’s the game you obviously want to win and get the bragging rights, finish the season on a high and get the three points.”

West Ham’s season is all but over, and all they can do now is strive for a top 10 finish.

Beating Spurs, however, would be a massive boost for the Hammers, and would put a completely different twist on what has otherwise been a bitterly disappointing campaign thus far.
