Having been on the receiving end of a Harry Kane brace a fortnight ago, West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart is glad to be on the same team for England this week.

Hart believes Kane is deserving of all the accolades which are coming his way after a prolific month of goalscoring for club and country.

The West Ham loanee also had kind words for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino for helping Kane on his way.

He told The Star: “He (Kane) is hot, isn’t he? He is scoring just as many goals as the people regarded as world class and he has been doing it for many seasons.

“Harry gets put in that bracket and deserves to be. He has Mauricio Pochettino, one of the hottest managers in the world who regards him highly and there are reasons for that.

“Harry will just keep being Harry and he will keep scoring goals. As long as he is in my team, wearing an England badge, I want that to continue.”

Kane struggled for England at Euro 2016 but since then he has grown into his role in the England side and established himself as one of the team’s leaders.

The Spurs ace has 10 goals in 21 games for England, and has some way to go to catch Wayne Rooney’s tally of 53.

Time is on his side to get there eventually, and you would be hard pressed to bet against him adding to his tally in the upcoming matches against Slovakia and Lithuania.
