West Ham star Marko Arnautovic spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Wolves yesterday, and delivered an impassioned rallying cry to his teammates and the Hammers fans, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The east London outfit have made a woeful start to their 2018/19 Premier League campaign, having lost all four of their matches thus far, and are firmly rooted at the bottom of the table.

Expectations were high at the London Stadium this summer, with Manuel Pellegrini at the helm, and nine new faces coming through the door.

Arnautovic spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s defeat to Wolves, and issued a rallying cry to everyone involved with West Ham, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“We dominated in the first half. I think we came into the game in the second half, and created chances. We had better possession but, in the end, results like this cannot happen. That’s football, but it’s a very hard situation. I know what the players feel and that the club and the fans are expecting much more from us, but we need to stick together, hold together, and believe in each other. We need to get confidence to turn things around.”

Things don’t get any easier for West Ham, with a trip to Everton next up on the agenda, followed by back-to-back home games against Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
