West Ham United play host to Stoke City on Monday night.

Joe Hart of Mancheater City shouts instructions during the Carabao Cup quarter final match between Arsenal and West Ham United at Emirates Stadium on December 19, 2017 in London, England.

West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, ahead of his side’s huge clash with Stoke City at the London Stadium on Monday night, and insisted that the Potters will represent an extremely difficult challenge for the Hammers.

The east London outfit currently sit in 14th spot in the Premier League table, seven points clear of 19th placed Stoke, and both teams will be desperate to earn maximum points on Monday night.

Paul Lambert talks to the media as he is officially unveiled as Stoke City new manager at Britannia Stadium on January 16, 2018 in Stoke on Trent, England.

David Moyes’ side are only four points adrift of 10th placed Newcastle, and they will be looking to finish what has been a miserable campaign in fine fashion, by forcing their way into the top 10.

Hart insisted that his side are full focused on their next game against the Potters, however, and warned his teammates that they will be in for a tough evening against Paul Lambert’s side, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“It’s a massive game. I’ve watched Stoke and heard Paul Lambert talk about his team and he’s happy and believes in his team, so they are going to see it as a big opportunity, as we are, so it’s going to be a tough game.”

West Ham can climb as high as 12th in the league with a win on Monday night, whilst three points would see Stoke jump up to 18th.

Hart will be looking to continue the fine form that he has showcased in recent weeks, and he will likely be a busy figure at the London Stadium, what with the attacking talent that Lambert has at his disposal.
