The West Ham United striker has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium recently.
West Ham ace Javier Hernandez insisted that he will only discuss his future at the end of this current season, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website.
The Mexican was heavily linked with a move away from the Hammers in January, with Spanish publication Marca claiming that the striker had actually agreed terms with Valencia.
Hernandez hasn’t quite lived up to expectations since joining West Ham from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2017, scoring just 14 goals in 56 appearances in all competitions for the east London outfit.
The Mexico international always works hard for the team, however, and he has been in fine form recently, despite not scoring regularly.
And Chicharito explained how he is not even thinking about his future at the moment, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website:
“I’m only thinking about Cardiff, working for the coach to give me the chance to start again, play my best, score goals and help the team. That’s my future at the moment, as for the rest we will speak when the season is over, right now we just need to play well so we can finish in a European spot.”
Hernandez is a popular figure at West Ham, and the London Stadium faithful will surely be hoping that Manuel Pellegrini keeps hold of the former Manchester United man at the end of the season.
Whether the 30-year-old wants to remain in east London, however, is another matter entirely.
