The West Ham United midfielder has always struggled with injuries.

West Ham ace Jack Wilshere spoke to reporters over the weekend, and admitted that his injury problems may not yet be behind him, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The 27-year-old joined the Hammers last summer, after his contract had expired with Arsenal, but he has really struggled with his fitness, making just seven appearances in all competitions this season.
On his day, Wilshere is a real talent, and if he can remain fit for the entirety of next season, he could be a real asset for West Ham, but that is a very big if.
And the Englishman responded to reporters on Saturday when asked whether his injury problems are now behind him, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“Injuries can happen at any point. I’m not naive enough to think that is the end of my injury problems but I will do everything I can to avoid them with strength and rehab work.”
It has been Wilshere’s ankles which have given him the most problems throughout his career, and Hammers fans will be hoping that he has done enough strength and conditioning work to prevent any further problems.
The West Ham midfielder knows all too well the perils of playing in the style that he does, however, and he will just be praying that he can remain injury free next season.
