West Ham United eventually scraped a win against Fulham last night.

West Ham ace Issa Diop spoke to reporters after his side’s hard-fought 3-1 win over Fulham last night, and suggested that he and his teammates cannot afford to drop off when they take the lead in games, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Hammers jumped up to ninth in the Premier League table with last night’s win – their first since beating Arsenal in January, and they now sit just four points adrift of the Europa League spots.
Manuel Pellegrini will be delighted with his side’s victory, but the manner in which his players sat deep and invited Fulham to attack during the second-half will undoubtedly concern him.
And when speaking to reporters, Diop, who joined West Ham for £22 million last summer, urged his side to remain on the front foot in future when they are leading games, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“It was a tough second half. We repeated the same mistake like we did against Palace as we just dropped back, we didn’t keep the ball and we conceded possession. We need to be careful to keep the ball better.”
Next up for West Ham is a trip to Manchester City on Wednesday night, and Pellegrini’s men will have to be much better, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of taking a positive result away from the Etihad.
