West Bromwich Albion defender Kieran Gibbs is said to be on Newcastle United’s radar.

Newcastle brought in Yoshinoro Muto, Kenedy, Martin Dubravka and Ki Sung-Yeung so far this transfer window, and none of the additions have screamed ambition.
Gibbs’ arrival would hardly put the fear of death into opposition sides either, but the West Brom defender could quietly be an excellent signing for the Magpies.
Gibbs remains a highly regarded left-back, and by bringing him in Newcastle could have the left-back position sorted for years.
Gibbs is still only 28-years-old, meaning he has plenty of years left in him at the top level.

And although he was part of a West Brom side which went down last season, he was one of the better perfomers.
Gibbs would bring Newcastle proven Premier League quality, which is more than can be said for many of their additions this summer.
And it may just be that Gibbs would turn out to be Newcastle’s very best buy, if they could get a deal wrapped up with West Brom.
