Jonny Evans was linked with moves away from West Bromwich Albion in the summer transfer window.
Evans has been on the books of West Brom since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Premier League rivals Manchester United for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £6 million.
The 29-year-old has established himself as a key figure in the current Baggies’ team and is one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
The Northern Ireland international has revealed that he does think about playing abroad.
“Every player always thinks if they would play abroad,” Evans told The Daily Mail. “Sometimes I think about it and mention it to my wife – then I don’t think about it for a while!
“You get to that stage of thinking about your options and what lies ahead. Does that opportunity ever present itself to us as players? That’s something else I have to think about as well.
“Life doesn’t go the way you planned and you have to make decisions, and sometimes very quick decisions in football.”
Evans was linked with moves away from West Brom in the summer transfer window. According to The Daily Mail, Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester City all had their respective bids for the former United star turned down by the Baggies.
West Brom are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with nine points from seven matches.
Tony Pulis’s side will return to action on October 16 when they take on Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium in the league.
