West Bromwich Albion have been waiting on signing Newcastle United’s Jacob Murphy.

According to the Express and Star, West Bromwich Albion are waiting on Newcastle United to make additions before they can get Jacob Murphy, so the impending arrival of Miguel Almiron should be music to their ears.

BBC Sport claim that Newcastle are set to sign Almiron for a fee of £20 million in the near future, and that move could clear Murphy to join West Brom.

Rafael Benitez had been loathed to let Murphy go without signing more attacking talent.

However, the arrival of Almiron is likely to limit Murphy’s chances at St. James’ Park even further.

West Brom now will surely feel confident of getting the green light to sign the winger, who they have been tracking for some time.

Darren Moore has made Murphy his first choice replacement for Harvey Barnes, who was recalled by Leicester City, but he has been waiting anxiously on Newcastle making a signing.

And the addition of Almiron will be celebrated at the Hawthorns, just like at St. James’ Park, as it should finally allow West Brom to get their man.
