Given the six point gap between the Baggies and seventh placed Everton, a European adventure seems unlikely.
West Bromwich Albion’s James Morrison scores their second goal
As West Bromwich Albion triumphantly departed Manchester United’s Old Trafford having secured a brilliant 0-0 draw, their fans may have been disappointed that performances like that probably won’t yield a European adventure.
The Baggies are eighth at present, six points behind seventh placed Everton, and as such will more likely than not miss out on the Europa League for next season – which seems a shame given how they’ve fared.
While it is still possible that the Baggies could overhaul Everton, it seems unlikely, and the Europa League will be worse off for it in some ways given how West Brom have done in the bigger matches this season.
Take their last two games for example – defeating Arsenal 3-1 and then claiming a 0-0 draw at Manchester United is no mean feat, and Tony Pulis deserves a lot of credit for turning round the club’s fortunes this campaign.

Fans around the country would have watched with interest at how West Brom would have fared against teams like Inter Milan or AFC Ajax in a similar way they did with Southampton this season, but it remains a pipe dream for now.
Baggies fans can take solace that with Pulis at the helm and with the team as it is, with a few minor improvements, those European nights could be coming to the Hawthorns sooner, rather than later.
