West Bromwich Albion boss Darren Moore reportedly told Marcus Maddison he was wanted at the Hawthorns earlier this summer.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has slammed West Bromwich Albion over their dealing with Marcus Maddison.
MacAnthony has claimed that West Brom boss Darren Moore had told Maddison that he wanted him earlier this summer.

However, the Baggies have not signed Maddison yet, with Harvey Barnes arriving on loan from Leicester City instead.
And MacAnthony has seemingly accused West Brom of not fulfilling their promise to the winger.
West Brom could yet come in for Maddison, who still looks likely to leave Posh.
He was left off Peterborough’s pre-season tour, and only returned to first-team action during a friendly against Potton United last night.
Maddison claimed an assist during the contest, but is understood to be chasing a move to the Championship.
West Brom go into the new campaign as one of the favourites for promotion, and Maddison could add to their attacking threat if he signs on at the Hawthorns.
