West Bromwich Albion new boy reflects on his PSG experience.
West Bromwich Albion pulled off one of the signings of the summer when they clinched a move for Gregorsz Krychowiak.
The Poland international is only at the Baggies on loan, but he has started well and is keen to put an ill-fated spell at Paris Saint-Germain behind him.
Reflecting on his PSG spell, Krychowiak says he was expected to be something he is not.
Quoted by Tuttomercatoweb, Krychowiak said: “I wanted to leave in the winter, but the management convinced me to stay.
“Emery had asked me to play like Busquets, but I realised right away that I could not meet his expectations for the different style, so I lost the place.
“I was disappointed by him: he asked me to follow him to Paris Saint-Germain, but it was over. Now I’m focused on my new team.”
Krychowiak appears motivated to get back to his best and prove a point, and show what made him such a highly coveted star at Sevilla.
If he can do, West Brom may find it tough to sign him permanently, but for now they should simply enjoy having him around and trying to get the best out of him.
The 27-year-old has made four appearances for the Baggies so far, providing one assist.
