West Bromwich Albion are said to be keen on signing Kyle Dempsey during the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, West Bromwich Albion are looking at signing Kyle Dempsey, and that would show an immediate change in transfer strategy following their relegation.

West Brom have tended to buy proven players, rather than stars from the lower leagues.

But Darren Moore has apparently been impressed by Dempsey’s form for Fleetwood Town this season and feels he is ready to make the step up.

Dempsey was a key man for Fleetwood this season, playing in all but one of the Cod Army’s league matches.

West Brom would be showing significant faith to call him up to their first-team though.

A general view during the Premier League match between West Bromwich Albion and Chelsea at The Hawthorns on November 18, 2017 in West Bromwich, England.

Albion have not always trusted players from the lower leagues to make an impact at the Hawthorns, but Dempsey could do just that.

And if Moore’s first signing is the Fleetwood man, then it may indicate the West Brom are intending to bring in more players for the future, rather than just the present, this summer.
