West Bromwich Albion should make an £18 million double-swoop for Dwight Gayle and Matej Vydra, as the pair could fire them to promotion next season.

Both Gayle and Vydra are set to be made available in the summer, by Newcastle United and Derby County respectively, and Championship sides are sure to be queuing up to sign the pair.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Newcastle will demand £10 million for Gayle, while the Telegraph claim that Vydra will cost at least £8 million to buy from Derby.

Matej Vydra of Derby scores the first goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Derby County and Nottingham Forest at iPro Stadium on October 15, 2017 in Derby, England.

And the potential to link Vydra and Gayle up at the Hawthorns should be an exciting prospect for whoever takes over at West Brom.

Both Gayle and Vydra are prolific scorers at Championship level, and they would give West Brom’s the best attacking force in the Championship.

Matej Vydra of Derby scores the opening goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Derby County and Nottingham Forest at iPro Stadium on October 15, 2017 in Derby, England.

Vydra has netted 21 goals for Derby this season, despite not playing as an out an out forward, while Gayle scored 23 times for Newcastle during his last season at this level.

If the pair arrived at West Brom, they could form a devastating partnership, and the Baggies would immediately take a big step towards making an immediate return to the Premier League, if they could pull off the double swoop.
