The Gunners are reportedly close to signing a new left back, which would make the England international third choice.
Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs celebrates
With the level of ambition being raised at The Hawthorns following an excellent season for West Bromwich Albion, manager Tony Pulis will be looking to bolster his ranks in the summer with a stronger calibre of player than perhaps anticipated.
One player Pulis could start with is Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs, with the 27-year-old England international facing a very uncertain future at The Emirates Stadium following reports that the Gunners are after a new left back.
According to Sky Sports, Schalke 04’s Bosnia and Herzegovina international left back Sead Kolasinac – out of contract in the summer – will decide between a switch to either Arsenal or AC Milan in the next week or so.
Seeing as Nacho Monreal is the undisputed first choice left back at Arsenal at present, Kolasinac’s arrival would leave Gibbs surplus to requirements, meaning that it’s highly likely a Premier League club will swoop.

That club should be West Brom, who would be signing an England international looking to prove to Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate that he can still make an impact on the international stage, while at 27, still has his best years to come.
As well as this, Gibbs would probably be available for a very reasonable fee given his age, experience and pedigree, and would really help West Brom go to the next level that their fans crave.
The Baggies are currently eighth in the Premier League with just five games to play, and Pulis’ side are five points away from totalling their highest ever tally in the competition.
