West Bromwich Albion forward Jay Rodriguez is reportedly on the radar of Burnley.

West Bromwich Albion have no intentions of selling Jay Rodriguez in the January transfer window amid speculation that Burnley want the former Southampton forward, according to The Express & Star.

According to Sky Sports, Premier League club Burnley want to sign Rodriguez from Championship outfit West Brom in January.

It has been reported that the Clarets wanted to sign the 29-year-old forward in the summer transfer window.

Burnley were reportedly not willing to pay more than £16m for the former Southampton star, with West Brom claimed to be wanting more than £18m.

According to The Express & Star, West Brom do not want to sell the England international in the January transfer window.

Sensible stance

Rodriguez is playing well for West Brom at the moment, and it would make sense for the Baggies to resist all offers for the forward and keep hold of him until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old – who started his professional club football career at Burnley and joined West Brom from Southampton in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £12 million – has scored eight goals and provided one assist in 16 Championship appearances for Darren Moore’s side so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
