West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa are said to be competing for Robert Huth.

And it would make sense for West Brom to move sooner rather than later, if they do want the 33-year-old.

Villa currently reportedly have no money to do any business in the transfer window, as they are so desperate to sell.
The claret and blues are looking to offload many of their first-team squad, before they bring in any new additions.

And that means that West Brom could strike a blow, by signing Huth before Villa can even submit the centre-back an offer.
The claret and blues may be able to challenge West Brom for Huth at a later date this summer, once they have raised some funds through player sales.
But if West Brom want to give themselves the best chance of landing Huth they would be wise to move now.
