West Bromwich Albion forward Salomon Rondon could leave the Hawthorns at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, West Bromwich Albion’s Salomon Rondon has a £16.5 million release clause in his contract, which will be activated once they are officially relegated.
The Baggies are currently sat at the bottom of the Premier League table, and look almost certain to be playing Championship football next term.
West Brom’s impending relegation will put the futures of a number of their players into doubt, and Rondon is one of the more likely players to move on.

But the Baggies must feel satisfied if they can actually get £16.5 million for the Venezuelan.
Rondon may have proven to be West Brom’s main striker this season, but his goalscoring record isn’t the most credible.
Rondon does offer more than goals, but the Baggies could yet receive a sizeable fee for the forward, which could set them up for next campaign.

If the target man departs for £16.5 million, it would enable the Baggies to invest the money to form their squad for a push for promotion in the Championship.
And losing Rondon cannot be seen as much of a blow, if they do manage to get such a big fee for the former Zenit man.
