West Bromwich Albion took Dwight Gayle on loan for the season from Newcastle United and he hit 24 goals.

West Bromwich Albion fans are urging Newcastle United’s Dwight Gayle to return to the Hawthorns next season on Twitter.
Gayle has spent the past campaign on loan with the Baggies from Newcastle, but he may well have played his last match for Albion now.
West Brom were unable to progress in the play-offs as they were beaten on penalties in midweek by Aston Villa.
And Gayle has now said goodbye to West Brom’s fans, as he prepares to return to Newcastle.
Whether Newcastle will opt to keep Gayle remains to be seen.
Newcastle and West Brom traded strikers last summer, with Salomon Rondon heading to St. James’ Park, and the deal worked out brilliantly for both sides.
Newcastle are now thought to want to keep Rondon, while West Brom are desperate to retain Gayle.
In total, Gayle scored 24 Championship goals for the Baggies over the course of the campaign.
Newcastle have previously valued Gayle at around the £10 million mark, as reported by the Daily Mail.
