The former Stoke City boss has been listed as a possible contender for Alan Pardew’s job at West Bromwich Albion.

Former Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is on the bookies’ list of contenders to replace Alan Pardew at West Bromwich Albion.
Hughes was sacked by Stoke in January and Pardew could be about to follow suit, according to some newspaper reports.

The Welshman, who has also managed Wales, Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers, with mixed success, enjoyed four largely successful seasons at the Bet 365 Stadium.
Nevertheless, his appointment is unlikely to go down well at the Hawthorns, if the following tweets from West Brom fans are anything to go by.
Here’s what they’re saying so far…
I suppose there’s always one exception to the rule [and the only one by the looks of it]…
Whoever takes over at Albion, who are seven points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Premier League, will be tasked with preserving the club’s top flight status – a feat achieved by Hughes at both Blackburn and QPR.
Marco Silva, Harry Redknapp, Slaven Bilic and Gary Megson are among the other names linked with the West Brom position.
Would Hughes be a good Baggies appointment?
